Let me be clear. I am not being judgemental of men’s sometimes childish behavior, although if I am honest, I can call my own view of my world often a pouting boy’s view. Let’s be honest. Both women and men as adults are very often working through childhood issues in their adult life. So this post is just addressing a recurring theme that I noticed this past week with a few men in my private coaching practice. I am moved to write about it here in an attempt to shine light on it and support us, as men, to move past its limitations.
This theme I refer to above had to do with these men finally giving themselves permission to allow their own soul to be independent of their father’s influence and rules. For these men there were emotions of grief and self love that surfaced for the first time from a well deep inside. What I am moved to say here is, "My dear brothers, we are magnificent in our gifts as souls, not just in traditional "men’s" roles, but as stewards of our loved ones, our families, the planet, and ourselves."
It’s very important to clarify that I am not referring to this men’s path as more important than the role women play on this planet. In fact , this preoccupation with "men vs women" must begin to be dissolved. This old paradigm of viewing each other with separation and enemy status hinders our own soul evolution, and thus the plant’s awakening to who we are beyond these roles. And who we are is the essence of why I am writing this. These men this week were moved to stretch their own wings of freedom, power, love, wisdom, and above all to see new horizons of unlimited being and possibility. They felt they were more than mere men, but rather the unlimited being that Lester Levenson and many ancients point toward.
After all, it is from this unlimited Presence and Awareness that we - as men and women - can know ourselves beyond our conditioned self-view which may have originated from parents or anyone else’s perspective. In turn this allows us to open to life’s riches and our own love of Self and the world. So men, let go of being your father’s boy and awaken to your own great soul, with humility, love and awesome Presence of Being. It’s time. The planet needs you as much as you need yourself to step out from the shadows. And as brothers doing it together, hey, this could be fun and life-changing. Are you ready? Let’s do it.
