Anxiety and stress created by the challenges of today’s world can seem insurmountable, but if you are willing, here’s a way to live from a calm and inner peace that is beyond all challenges. It requires that you be open to the possibility that you are infinitely more than just your body, thoughts or feelings.(Are your speakers on?).
For more information on how to let go of feelings that hinder your wisdom, courage, and inner peace, see the Calendar link above.
Here’s to your and the earth’s freedom to live its greatest life,

Okay, it’s true. I cried in Carnegie Hall. You listen to Peter, Paul and Mary sing Where Have All the Flowers Gone
during the holidays with a few thousand people from all around the world singing along and it might stir up some emotions as well. Add a world-class choir (with my friend, Marcela, in it) filling the hall with angelic music. I know it all may sound a bit silly, but let me say more.
In these days of pessimism and people feeling separate from their neighbors, much less other nations, hearing PP&M sing from their hearts about the need to move past war and hatred, somehow you could feel in the hall the great desire for oneness. But more importantly, the hall was actually filled with it, this common sense of a shared experience, a shared destiny.
Mary represented this idea well in one of her songs about walls coming down. The refrain was "If there is any hope for love at all, some walls must fall." So in this holiday time, I wish for each of you, to be able to love others, but most importantly to love yourself. It means some walls must fall. I speak here of the walls within you that developed at some forgotten time, that perceive the world as unsafe, regardless of the fact that in this moment in this chair where you sit, most likely you are safe. With time these walls give rise to armor around the heart, supposedly to keep pain out, but in truth locking pain in.
This armor creates a deep sense of aloneness and loneliness. This can mean in your relationships with your teenagers, your boss, your partner or friend, or even the counterperson in the local store.
So, my dear fellow journeyers during these times of great change, as best you can, consider seeing the depth of separation you feel, and letting it go, if even for this one tender moment. Take a breath, lower your shoulders, and take a break from holding the fortress gates closed protecting the city called "you". It takes a lot of energy to keep them closed. You deserve a rest. This break wont be given by some unknown person you are waiting for in some fantasy who will "save" you from your pain. This lifetime is short. Your break is waiting for you now, this moment.
For loving help in letting go of this habit of "self-protection" and discovering who you are beyond fear, explore this site (See Calendar in the link bar) for when and where we will be offering the chance to learn this simple yet life-saving skill.
For now, I wish you the greatest of holidays and a most rewarding inner peace.

PS: One thing that made the evening so special was sharing it with dear friends. Marcela was on stage in the choir; James, my best buddy; and Helene who many of you know, my senoir associate and dear friend. Thanks for the fun!
As I was watching the final U.S. presidential debate between Obama and McCain, the greater entertainment was the show going on inside me, like the judgements and a feeling of pride at how "right" I am about things.
It was also intriquing to realize how the emotional game plan for each candidate is different. Obama’s approach is to instill calm and reasoning. McCain’s is to try to inspire passion and even fear and danger. If we look at this carefully, we recognize that these two men or their running mates are no different than many people we may know in our lives who trigger similar feelings that are familiar to us.
This is an important point about the role of politics as a mirror for our inner world. Our emotional responses to candidates are often based in old emotional patterns, like feeling out of control, not heard, taken advantage of, powerless, etc. This is one more way we can see that we live replaying the past. If you quiet your mind by releasing your emotional reactivity about the events and people in the political landscape, you will find a rewarding peace and a new mental clarity. From here you can participate and engage without losing your inner sense of equilibrium, serenity, or personal power.
During the next few weeks, whether you are in the US or not, make sure to notice that your feelings about the global political landscape are familiar feelings even from other times in your life. Then you can decide to release them and be in the world with less stress and more empowered choices of living.
If you like the idea of letting go, but are not sure how, review two pages of this site (seen above in the link bar), FREE Evenings and LIVE Seminars. Tonight I was on a phone interview and simulcast with my great friend and respected author, Stephanie Gunning. We explored the idea of living everyday with a quieter mind and from a feeling of Presence, or simple being. The call is a part of a magnificent event she co-created called, The Great American Think Out. You can read more about it by clicking on the graphic below.
We also explored this most powerful tool for quieting the mind, The Sedona Method.
If you were on the call, I hope you found it beneficial. Above all, my hope is that your inward call for inner peace is strong enough to join us at our FREE Introductory Evening this Thursday, Sept. 18 or at the upcoming Sedona Method Seminar Sept. 27-28 in New York City.
I hope to meet each of you and to support your experience of a happier life.
Please read further information in the links above, FREE Evening and LIVE Seminars.

PS. Scroll down for more informative blogs.
My apologies for the delay in blogs in this past week. I have been traveling and now have landed here in the plains of Texas where we are having a family reunion.
I stepped off the plane into the hot and thick Amarillo air, and my body felt at home since I began life here in Amarillo where I was born 50 years ago. A sweetgrass smell fills the air since the small airport is in the fields outside of the city. My family has this gathering once every two years. About 40 of us or more. I am writing this from the parking lot of a Best Western Hotel where there appears to be an internet signal. Closer to our family ranch where we hold the reunion there is no signal, so this blog entry will be followed within a week I hope. That is if I make it back to this spot next to the Best Western in the middle of the wide plains.
I will have great pics and video when I return (If not before). Yes I will be wearing a cowboy hat too! So you have a great week or two and I will sneak back into the parking lot when I can. Remember that no matter where you are; the Texas plains, Europe, Seattle, New York or anywhere in between, peace, a quiet mind, and a wonderful life await you when you bring your attention to this present moment. So … pause long enough, right now, take a breath, lower your shoulders, and bring your attention back to this moment. Here you can always find the iner treasure you are searching for.
For help in quieting your mind and resting with more peace, see my Free Stuff page for short audios and videos to help out. Great love and support for each of you whether this is your first time to this site or you’re a Sedona Method graduate.
Talk to you again soon,
Love and wishes for inner freedom,

This is a very short note just to share a few thoughts about this idea of independence.
Here, historically, a group of souls broke away from the oppression of the time. It was a step to expressing freedom. Today, we find ourselves on a small planet, all nations, mutually dependent. Discovering our common purpose of well being will determine our survival and quality of life.
In the 80′s I travelled to the then, Soviet Union. It was during the Cold War and we were told they were the evil empire. Upon arriving I found cetainly some restrictive ways of life, but the people themselves embraced me and brought tears to my eyes at how they desired to connect and celebrate our kinship.
Today, we are told of many evil empires, creating more separation. But more importantly, can you find the places inside where you feel hate or fear, which creates separation from the love of your own Self? It is an unprecedented time of challenge and opportunity for breakthroughs in healing ~ both personally and globally. It’s time for us to embrace life, liberty, and happiness, individually, and as the human family on this small spinning garden.
Here’s to your freedom ~ inside and out,
Joining Hands, The Earth Benefits

The applause finally quieted and my presentation of the Sedona Method at this event had ended. But often what appears to end gives birth to something even greater. My new friend and colleague, Carson Tang, devoted to the planet’s evolution and who produced that event, afterwards asked me to speak at the PowerMastery Event coming up June 14-15. It is an Empowerment Conference and Retreat up the Hudson River from New York City (photo) and is not for the faint of heart. It is devoted to loving and radical inner change and outer change. Carson has put together a powerful two days of speakers and activities, with lakes and woods surrounding the Center. Read more at www.powermastery.com I’d love to see you there. Canoe canoe?
