What drives us to weather challenging times like these? For example, yesterday, in a groggy state, after three hours of sleep the night before, I had the crazy impulse to go for a session of meditation and yoga at the Chopra Center and Spa at Dream, in Manhattan. As you can see, my cheeks are a bit rosy as a result. It felt wonderful.
Recently I heard Dr. Deepak Chopra say, "We are microcosms of the infinite intelligence of the universe". He expresses health as, "The ecstatic, evolutionary, impulse of the universe; A higher state of conciousness in which you spontaneously make choices that bring joy to you, but also to others in the world". Later in the day, my friends were, I’m sure, joyful that I wasn’t as grumpy as I might have been.

So on this day, take a moment and folllow that ecstatic, evolutionary, impulse which knows exactly what you need for your well being and joy. Right now, in this very moment, let go of holding back this impulse and spontaneously choose something that expresses your joy. I mean right now. No joke. I mean when you finish reading this. This impulse is beating your heart. It must know something. This is a life skill. Don’t wait for someone else to save you from your own indecision. Go for it.
So in advance, congratulations! And while you’re at it, why not decide what you will do for your joy tomorrow? Do something radical. Actually make a choice that fills your heart.
Thanks Dr. Chopra and thanks to the evolutionary impulse of this amazing universe that expresses through – and as – each of us.
For your greatest health and happiness,
